Contact with liquids, soaps and chemicals may cause damage to your jewelry. Apply hair sprays, perfumes etc. prior to placing your jewelry to wear.
Wipe with a clean, dry, soft cloth after each wear and store in a dry sealed container.

NEVER submerge vintage rhinestone jewelry in any kind of liquid as the liquid can get underneath the rhinestones and damage the foil backing. Do not submerge simulated pearl jewelry in any kind of liquid as it can damage the coating on the faux pearls.

I do not recommend jewelry cleaning products as the harshness may damage your jewelry.

All jewels mentioned as vintage or antique here at least 80 years old! This is expected and desired as part of the history and fact of age. EVEN IN GOOD CONDITION WHEN NO MAJOR FLAWS ARE AT STAKE DO NOT EXPECT OR ASK THEM TO BE AS BRAND NEW AS YOU WOULD LIKE THEM TO BE. THAT IS PART OF THEIR CHARM AND HISTORY. Items will show wear commensurate with their age and any major flaws will be noted. Many enlarged close, detailed photos are taken for you to view. I do my best to accurately date our jewelry although actual dating may vary. For that, I used old inventory books where the jewels or jewelry components are coming from. You, the buyer, are the final judge after viewing the photos and reading the description.

All of the antique jewels proposed in my shop are coming from new old stock from French export companies, manufactures and Maisons de couture in Paris.

They are ORIGINAL and TRUE and NOT COPIES or REPRODUCTIONS. They never been sold or worn before! Take this into consideration before comparing with other fancy jewels.

For most of them they are made in France or Germany during the 20s and 30s. Few ones, in United Kingdom.

Sometimes I fall in love with some antique treasures dating from another decade (10s or 40s). So I propose them and give you the date in the description.

All of these jewels are FANCY jewels. The 20s was the decade where fancy and fashion jewels appeared and were proposed for everybody.
As now, fancy jewels are not "precious" jewels. That means the materials and stones used are cheaper than in classical jewelry. So we used many alloys instead of gold, faux pearls and diamanté instead of mothers of pearls and diamonds!
But we saw creativity and innovation with the usage of metals and materials that now are "exotic and rare" like galalithe, marcessite, palladium, rhodium,...
It is difficult for me to say exactly what is the metal used for such or such jewels. When I have this indication in docs, you will find it in the description but I can warranty the content of the metal (silver, gold)

As these are vintage pieces they are sold in AS IS condition.

All jewels are individually protected by bubble wrap and many tapes! So please caution when you unwrap your jewels to put off all tapes before bubble wrap.
Please don't pull on one component of the earrings (for example the closure) to unwrap.

Think about your jewels are 100 years old even they look "new"! And you must take care of them as much as your great-grandmother.

This is a genius system of drafting and sewing clothes, created in UK in the mid-1920. It combines a proprietary chart and instructional material to create a personal foundation pattern, used as a template. Following illustrated drafting guides included in fashion booklets, you alter the base pattern to create endless designs.
From instructions and charts, you mark dots on your sewing paper and then easy, you just have to join dots with the ruler!

Published in the Spring and Autumn from the 1920s through the 1960s, the Haslam System includes special books for seasonal clothing drafts, books of lingerie, books for fuller figures, and books of children’s clothing. In some of the illustrated drafting books, there are also items for men.

For vintage sewing lovers, this method could be classified in the same "family" (although it is different) of Lutterloh system, La coupe d'Or, Eclair Coupe Paris.

Method to draw the pattern of the chosen model, at its measurements. There is no explanation for the sewing steps, women once, being educated in sewing. Good knowledge of sewing is recommended.

Collection of the jewelleries with the scents of the past:
• Reassembled from period models and jewelry pieces from very old stocks of French manufactures and Parisian Maisons de Couture.
• The metal ornaments and settings are made from the original old moulds by french companies more than a hundred years old, having preserved drawings and tools of the past.
• To enhance these jewels and offer you the current standards (France & EU), they are made of silver plated brass, Sterling 925 Silver and 24K fine Gold guilted Silver.
• The assembly is done by hand in France.

The rarity of the components means that each model can only be made in a single piece or in a very limited edition.
